The Deep Forest Spirit

“REMEMBRANCE”

The Deep Forest Spirit looks out tentatively from his abode deep in the ancient forest. Unseen for millions of years, he has been awoken. What he sees in our treatment of the Earth perplexes him. He does not know how to speak in our language nor how to understand our reasoning yet, simply by exposing himself, he offers us his lesson. As he watches and waits perhaps we can look deeply enough into his eyes to remember.

There is nothing ancient that does not remain within us. We carry all knowledge from the beginning of creation in our cells, in our blood, in our souls. Temporal forgetting accompanies the current human condition, yet we may always execute free will in finding our own way home. Our true self, knowing that our path is long and fraught with illusion, places upon it coded experiences that hold frequencies that can unlock access to our ancient unconscious memories. These are beacons on our journey of awakening to our truth and may take the form of a word, a look, a symbol, a dream, a melody or synchronistic connections with animate or inanimate beings. The kingdom of nature is our most prolific and least corruptible source of such beacons. In keeping with the law of free will, we do with these markers as we wish.

modern woman dreams she is being told by spirit that “…people who cut down trees get Alzheimer’s disease”. If we unwittingly remove from our lives all the signposts that were placed there to guide us will we effectively cut ourselves off from our roots and become lost forever?

The Deep Forest Spirit appears when we stray from our truth through forgetfulness. His presence indicates that we may be ignoring or even destroying our personal or collective signposts. He knows that in his silent eyes we will recognise our common ancestry. Those eyes speak both a warning and a call to love - to follow our roots - first down into the soil of Mother Earth and then home to first creation.
