of my tongue

both ancient and powerful
things
and you will
penetrate
to the core of the
subtle
all of my layers
as I have penetrated
you
and your voices be
mine
and your work be mine
also
and your lion hearted
gait
all the while carried
on silver wings
as you spray from
your welted fingertips
shower after shower
of harnessed light
and through you
they will see me
rising up
and through you
they will do naught but love me
and through you
I will reach out my aged hand
and grasp
and pull all mine
to breast
all mine back
to loving breast”
